Dr. Gobind Sahi is a dual board certified, fellowship trained, musculoskeletal
sports medicine physician with a strong academic and clinical background.
While an Assistant Professor at George Washington University,
Dr. Sahi trained medical students, residents, and fellows,
served as a team physician for GW student athletes, and
covered various races and events including the Army 10-miler,
Marine Corps Marathon, and A10 Basketball tournament.
While at GW, Dr. Sahi also developed a new ACGME-Approved
Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship and served as its program director.
Dr. Sahi has extensive experience in concussion diagnosis and management, bone,
ligament, tendon, and cartilage injuries of the shoulders, knees, upper and lower
extremities, spine and neck, and sports nutrition and physicals.
Dr. Sahi utilizes ultrasound guidance to safely and effectively to perform
a variety of interventions including intra-articular cortisone injections,
biologic/hyaluronic acid injections, and trigger point injections.
He is proficient in diagnosing and treating non-operative fractures.
Dr. Sahi grew up in Pittsburgh and Minneapolis. He studied Biology and Psychology
at the University of Minnesota. He attended medical school at the American University of Antigua.
He returned to the University of Minnesota for his Family Medicine Residency and served as Chief Resident.
He completed his Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at St. Luke’s University in Bethlehem, PA where he
served as team physician for various area high schools and colleges. Dr. Sahi is an active member of the American
Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
